My Festival Fringe 2026 Home Page

Edinburgh Fringe 2026 is here, and I’m back doing what I love most — seeing as many shows as I can and sharing the ones that stay with me. I’m delighted to be accredited media this year, but as always, every review is honest, personal, and rooted in the simple joy of sitting in a room and being surprised by a story.

This page will update throughout August with new reviews, hidden gems, and the occasional late‑night thought scribbled on the train home. Whether you’re planning your Fringe or just curious what’s out there, I hope you find something here that sparks your interest.

I have added below an example of my star ratings. I feel by adding stars with no explanation it demeans the production, and the intention of the review. I'm not here to put people off with a 3 star review, I hope I encourage them to give it a go!

⭐⭐⭐

A good example of theatre — one to watch

Solid, thoughtful work. If it fits your day, you’ll have a rewarding hour.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

A very good example of theatre — try and fit it in

Strong, memorable, and well worth making space for in a busy Fringe schedule.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

An excellent example of theatre — queue for returns

The kind of show that reminds you why the Fringe exists. If it’s sold out, join the queue anyway.
